Originally from Paris, charismatic Youcef spent many years in LA, where he designed clothes for his Beverley Hills boutique, which supplied many of LA’s leading film studios. He dressed a huge amount of celebrities during this period, including The Jacksons, Elton John, Eddie Murphy and Anthony Quinn.

Youcef’s interest in the film world led him to become the costume designer for the hit eighties TV show, Dynasty.  He subsequently moved into set designing for the legendary Don Simpson, the producer behind top films of the nineties, including Top Gun and Beverley Hills Cop.  Youcef then moved from set design to art direction, and as technology developed he became involved in Hollywood’s special effects industry.

After 12 years, in the US, he moved back to Britain, all the time continuing to work in films and television.  He then travelled all over the world, making documentaries in countries as far afield as Australia and Bhutan.  Making television programs as Behind the Camera, Just for Laugh, Golden Beach, Perfume and The Last Buddhist Kingdom (on Bhutan).

After a return to Britain he focused on Hedges and Butler and then Club Victory. Finally returns to his first love “film” working on a   new  project, which is another manifestation of his life-long love of the arts, and film in particular.
